Are you 50+ and young at heart? Do you like to interact with others?
If you enjoy doing this, come and join us each Thursday from 9-12:30 or so in narthex of the church. Snacks are provided or bring something special of your own. We play Mexican dominoes and Oh Pshaw (a card game). Neither of these is a brain drainer—just a lot of fun. If you prefer another game get some friends together and ask them to join us. If you are not a game player, bring a craft, sit and work on it, or just come for conversation and fun. All are welcome. You do not need to be members of this church. We will laugh and talk the whole morning away. Please consider coming out and sharing our fun with us. We are looking forward to seeing you there. Contact Marilyn Grim 281-550-1868 and leave a message, or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.

Adult Sunday School
There are several adult classes available, each with its own opportunity for growth and interpretation of the Bible. The current studies for each class are posted
outside the classroom. There is a class for everyone, we have classes that are led presentation style, as well as classes which center around group discussions. All adult classes are offered at 9:30 a.m. in the Education wing — Join us Sunday’s to find one that fits YOU!
Several times a year, a class is offered to discuss United Methodist doctrine, theology and policy, and how it applies to our ministry as United Methodists and the Cornerstone family. This class is open to all who are interested, and is taught by one of the pastors.
We have two wonderful opportunities for food and fellowship!
The Cornerstone Dinner Club is a group of couples and singles who enjoy getting together once a month for food and fellowship; we meet once a month from September through May. Each month we gather in a different home and each member brings food for all to share.
We have a second club called the Restaurant Dinner Club that tries to meet once
a month at different restaurants around the city. Some of the places we have been to in the past include: Carrabba’s, Erik’s Mexican Cafe in Hempstead, Goode Co Seafood, Mia Bella downtown, Backstreet Cafe, LaPlacita Mexican, Peli Peli, California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, The Melting Pot.
This group will not meet during the month of December.
